deemly: Year One!

The year is coming to an end so I thought it would be cool to look at the highlights of what we have accomplished with deemly in the company’s first year. And wow - this year has been an awesome ride!
deemly: Year One!

In December 2015, founder and CEO of deemly, Sara Green Brodersen decided to quit her day job as a consultant and go full time with deemly. With deemly, we build trust in peer to peer transactions. We enable users to aggregate their ratings and reviews into one trust score, a deemly score.

We started the year off with Venture Cup Idea Competition and managed to create some buzz around deemly in the press (even though we did not win). With that press came interested customers (sharing economy platforms) and investors, which was a bit surprising and earlier than expected but very interesting!

We hired a team of developers (2 full time in Macedonia and 1 part time in Denmark) and we got into the accelerator program, Thinkubator, in April. I came onboard as the CMO in May and we launched our beta in June. We had a great launch party and celebrated the big accomplishment 🙂 We could not have done it without all of our great interns, advisors, and supporters.

We spent the Summer talking to sharing economy platforms interested in increasing trust between their users and to the press in order to spread the word about what we are doing. Our goal was to have 10 companies testing our beta by October, which our awesome sales team managed to get done a couple of months ahead of time.

In October, we launched deemly 1.0. We had updated a bunch of different features, made the sign-up process easier and more smooth, and listened to all the customer and end user feedback that we had gotten and tried to implement it all.

Another cool thing is that we have made it outside of Denmark as we have interest from platforms all over the world; Holland, the US, India, Spain, Canada, and more. It will be very exciting to see where it will take us!

We had our last team meeting December 22nd where we set goals for the coming year. We have managed to land some great hires so the team will be even stronger and bigger when we come in on the first Monday of January.
We are so excited to see where 2017 will take us and the company! 2016 was SO MUCH MORE than we expected so I cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store for us 🙂
